The pivotal role of metrology in maintaining accurate measurements and ensuring precision across diverse fields cannot be overstated. Recognising its significance, the Deputy for National Measurement Standards (SNSU) of the National Standardization Agency (BSN) collaborated with ARISE+ Indonesia to conduct a comprehensive series of training sessions focusing on metrology. The training, which is scheduled from July to November 2023, aims to enhance the competence and capacity of metrologists within the agency.
Four Investment Project Opportunities (IPROs) in the Agribusiness and Fisheries sectors were showcased by the Ministry of Investment/BKPM during a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) held on Tuesday (18/07), with the support of ARISE+ Indonesia. The FGD gathered participants' views and feedback on the projects, bringing together European and Indonesian corporate executives, project owners, agribusiness counsellors, experts, as well as Indonesian and European financing institutions. The FGD was part of an ongoing partnership between the Ministry of Investment and ARISE+ Indonesia to develop the European Union-Indonesia Investment Attraction Plan, which is set to be finalised later this year.
The long-awaited Indonesian Blue Economy Roadmap 2023-2045 was officially launched and showcased during the ASEAN Blue Economy Forum hosted by the Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas) in the picturesque Belitung Island on July 3, 2023. The roadmap's development was made possible through the valuable contribution of ARISE+ Indonesia, which collaborated closely with Bappenas to conduct three significant studies as part of the Blue Economy Roadmap: the Development of the Blue Economy in Indonesia Based on the Supply and Demand Framework, the Indonesian Blue Economy Index (IBEI), and the IBEI Projection.
The recent visit to Europe by an Indonesian delegation, comprising the Ministry of Investment/BKPM and the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas, has opened doors to an array of potential investment opportunities in Indonesia. The mission, facilitated by ARISE+ Indonesia, was a chance for the delegation to explore investment ecosystem in Europe and establish vital connections. Under the auspices of the Ministry of Trade, Ministry of Industry, and Ministry of Agriculture, ARISE+ Indonesia has organised a series of capacity-building activities. The goal is to strengthen the capacity of extension officers, farmers, small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs), and exporters in the spices sector, particularly those with Geographical Indication (GI) certification. This will facilitate their compliance with international food safety standards, including Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), in the spices industry.

A senior delegation from Indonesia’s Ministry of Investment (BKPM) and Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas) have returned from a two-week study- and contact-building visit around Europe, arranged by ARISE+ Indonesia, to visit and meet with world-leading institutions and ecosystems for investment. The delegation visited and met with 22 entities during the visit, which took the delegation to Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden and Denmark.

Laboratory technicians and analysts at three laboratories within the Ministry of Industry participated in training sessions facilitated by ARISE+ Indonesia. These sessions aimed to enhance the capacity for contaminant analysis, facilitating high-quality and accurate results. By improving the quality and accuracy of their analyses, these labs can help relevant industries meet international quality standards and technical regulations. This, in turn, will enhance the competitiveness and acceptance of Indonesian export products, particularly in the European Union market.
