Technical Assistance II

A senior delegation from Indonesia’s Ministry of Investment and Ministry of National Development Planning are conducting a two-week study- and contact-building visit around Europe, arranged by ARISE+ Indonesia, to visit and meet with world-leading institutions and ecosystems for investment.
The two-week mission begins in Brussels, where the delegation, headed by Indonesia’s Deputy Minister for Investment Promotion, Bapak Nurul Ichwan, will meet senior officials at the European Commission to hear about the EU’s flagship investment mobilisation programme, Global Gateway, other related instruments and initiatives, as well as the EU’s approaches and experiences in developing carbon markets – including its well-established Emissions Trading System.
From Brussels, the delegation will head to the Netherlands, where they will visit Philips’ Global Innovation Hub and Experience Center, World Horti Center (a leading ecosystem for horticultural technology and innovation), a couple of development finance institutions, as well as the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency, for a peer-to-peer knowledge sharing session.
The second week of the mission will be spent in Sweden and Denmark. The delegation will visit the cities of Malmö and Lund in southern Sweden, where they will meet institutions and companies pioneering innovations in urban mobility, renewable energy, sustainable cities and healthcare. The final three days of the mission will be spent in Denmark, where the delegation will visit State of Green – Denmark’s national one-stop-shop for more than 600 Danish businesses, agencies, academic institutions, experts and researchers – all collaborating on the development of the green economy.
A visit will also be made to Kalundborg Symbiosis – a world-leading circular economy cluster. Furthermore, the delegation will meet with the global wind turbine manufacturer, Vestas, as well as Denmark’s Investment Fund for Developing Countries (IFU).
